John and Sarah

This morning the seven of us kids woke up at the crack of 4 am to head off for the Eastern Iowa Airport where John McCain and Sarah Palin were speaking.  We arrived at 6 am and proceeded to stand for five solid hours.  It was well worth the wait, hunger pains, thirstiness, and exaustion for the front row standing room we got.  Each of us got to shake Mr. McCain's hand and would have gotten to Mrs. Palin if the over-protective dark-glasses-dudes wouldn't have taken her the other direction.

Regardless, we had a fun time watching history unfold before our very eyes.  Let's keep praying as we have only 47 days left before the election!!

You are SO lucky! I cannot believe this.....we almost went to the exact same rally!!! We may have run into each other!! Drats!

We were dying to go, but because of circumstances, we decided to wait and hope that they come around our area again!

My mom's sister visited yesterday, and while she was here, I said, "Mom, we should have taken Shari with us to see Palin!" (She and her family love her too) My aunt said, confused, "What?" I said, "Palin wasn't too far from her speaking today!" Her jaw dropped. :)

GO MCCAIN/PALIN!

Seriously, that's really cool that you "kids" got to go there! A great experience!

I agree with Bethany that now I know someone who shook the hand of a Presidential wannabe!
